How Cool! An Audio of Blind Date

Crime City Central, a website of podcasts of crime and mystery stories, asked me some time ago if they could produce an audio version of my short story “Blind Date” to read on their site. Narrated by Antoinette Bergin and introduced by the sly-voiced Jack Calverley, I think it turned out fantastically.  Antoinette gives my character Kim the tone and inflection that I heard in my mind as I wrote it – sardonic in the beginning, becoming shocked and determined near the end of the story.

Take a listen and let me know what you think! My story starts at around 19 minutes into the podcast, but don’t skip over the first story read, “Blue Murder” by the amazing bestselling author David Morell. I met Mr. Morell briefly at a writing conference a few years ago, after listening to him give an enlightening presentation on the differences between the horror, mystery, and thriller genres. A very friendly and gracious man.

The podcast is free to listen to, but if you like what you hear and especially if you are interesting in listening to other podcasts (there is one per month, so lots of chilling stories), consider giving a donation to support their efforts. Great narration, great artwork, and a impressive selection of authors.
